Greetings from Platteview Central Junior High! It’s an exciting time as we reach out to the families of incoming 6th graders. We’ve heard wonderful things about the students joining our school community and are looking forward to meeting everyone in the months ahead.
Mark your calendars for an important event: Spring Orientation Night on Monday, May 5, at 7:00 PM in the High School Auditorium. This evening will provide valuable information for both students and families, helping to prepare everyone for the upcoming transition to junior high.
The orientation will cover several key topics, including:
- Student Registration
- School Procedures and Expectations
- Planning for the Year Ahead
- Tours of the School
- And more!
The goal of the evening is to ease the transition for students moving to junior high. It’s a chance to familiarize everyone with the school environment and help reduce any anxiety about the upcoming change.
An Afternoon with New Classmates and Teachers
In addition to the Spring Orientation Night, there will be an opportunity for 6th graders to visit the junior high school in the afternoon on Wednesday, May 7. This event will allow students to meet their new teachers, tour the school, and connect with classmates before the year begins.
Attendance is Highly Encouraged: Students and Parents
It is strongly recommended that both students and parents attend the orientation night. This will be an important opportunity to gather all necessary information and ensure a smooth transition to junior high. As the event approaches, further details will be shared to keep everyone informed.
