I am currently entering my 9th year teaching at Platteview Central Junior High.  My first two years were spent teaching 7th grade Language Arts.  My third year was teaching 7th grade Social Studies.  Now, I am going into my 6th year of teaching 8th grade US History.

I am going into my 4th year as the Head coach for the girls' golf team and my 6th year as the Head coach for the boys' golf team at Platteview High School.

Bio

I grew up in a small town in southwest Iowa called Imogene.  I am the 5th child of ten; I had 8 sisters and 1 brother.  My experiences growing up in a big household, yet going to a small public school prepared me quite well for teaching at Springfield/Platteview Community Schools.

After High School, I graduated from UNO with a degree in Criminal Justice and worked in that field as a Supervisor at a Juvenile Detention Facility for 8 years.

In 2002, I married my wife, Carol.  My son Sean was born in 2005 and my daughter Meg in 2007.  Currently, I stay busy with the family attending baseball and soccer games and taking family vacations at Christmas time and in the Summer.

I enjoy playing golf, farming when I have a chance, and attending extra curricular activities at Platteview.
