Hi, I'm Melissa Neill.  I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest in Medford, Oregon.  After HS, I took a year off and lived with a family  in Monterrey, Mexico where I studied Spanish and played softball.  Once back in the US, I moved to Portland, OR where I received my BA degree in Languages from the University of Portland.

I was married on the Big Island of Hawaii and lived there for 8 years before we moved to Seattle, WA. While in Hawaii, we immersed ourselves in the Hawaiian culture; learning about the traditions, people, language and food. We also have two daughters Ke'alohi and Pi'ikea, who were both born there.  After living in Seattle for 5 years, we moved to Gretna and I worked in the district at Westmont as a para in the kindergarten, first and third grade classes.

When we left Nebraska in 2009, we moved to Canton, GA and then in 2011 to Twinsburg, OH. In 2015, we moved back to Nebraska and live in Omaha. My husband Troy, works for Kiewit Infrustructure and my oldest daughter Ke'alohi is majoring in Biology at UNO and Pi'ikea is a Junior at PHS.

We are excited to be back in Nebraska and I am especially thrilled to be working back in the district as a para at PC!
