EXPERIENCE

I have been working here at Platteview Central for 19 years. I started working in food service, then moved to the custodian position. Back then I worked the day shift. After spending time with the high quality and caring teachers and students here at Central, it motivated and influenced me to go back to college and obtain my teachers certificate. With all the requirements of practicum work and student teaching, I had to switch to the night position.

BIO

I was born in Nebraska, but by the age of five moved to Los Angeles California, where I spend my elementary, middle school and my beginning high school years. I moved back to the great state of Nebraska at the age of seventeen. I finished my high school years at a Catholic High school, Archbishop Ryan High School. I moved to this school district with my family twenty one years ago. Three of my children are Platteview graduates. My husband and I are raising my grandson Matthew. He is in first grade and attends Springfield Elementary. He is the apple of my eye. I enjoy arts and crafts, scrapbooking and reading. I have a supportive loving family in which I love to spend time with. My time is limited  because as well as cleaning this magnificent building, I also work a day job. After graduating from College of Saint Mary, I started working as a SPED Paraprofessional for Papillion LaVista School District. I worked there for two years gaining wonderful knowledge and experience. I presently work for WCCA Head Start in Council Bluffs Iowa. This is my second year as a preschool Teacher.

I enjoy working at Platteview Central. I enjoy the teachers and meeting new students. Although I do work in the evening and don't get to spend quality time with the students like I used to, I do enjoy and appreciate the time I do see them during afterschool and evening programs.
